Design Engineer - Boston, MA

Job Description:

Our client in Northeastern MA is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join its Organization. Duties for this position will include designing and developing RF coaxial connectors and related components; utilizing 2D / 3D CAD design tools to create drawings for components and assemblies; providing technical support to customers, sales representatives and manufacturing departments; interfacing with customers on design and applications issues; traveling as needed to support customer requirements. Additional responsibilities of this position will include Process Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Engineering Release Orders (ERO); the ability to perform detailed analysis to validate functionality of design, including tolerance studies; coordinate and document electrical and mechanical testing of prototypes; work closely with manufacturing personnel to investigate / incorporate design changes for improved manufacturability and cost reductions; assist in the investigation and root cause analysis of manufacturing / quality issues. Qualified Candidates must have a BSME or BSEE or at least 3 years of connector design experience; be proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software; have coursework in Microwave theory and coaxial structures. Knowledge of HP/Anritsu network analyzers, EM simulation techniques (Ansoft HFSS) and Cable Assemblies a plus. Cable Assembly Engineer - Boston, MA

Job Description:

Our client in Northeastern MA is seeking an experienced Cable Assembly Engineer to join its Organization. Responsibilities will include Sales application, design, process and manufacturing engineering support of semi-rigid, conformable, and flexible RF coaxial cable assemblies; creating drawings, developing and implementing procedures for the testing and manufacturing of cable assemblies; performing prototype or production pilot runs and creating first article test reports for customer approval; researching, recommending and implementing cable assembly equipment, tools, and fixtures. To be considered you must have a BSEE or BSME Degree; 3 years minimum experience in cable assembly design, testing and manufacturing; expertise on CAD software (AutoCAD); excellent communication skills, (written and verbal); strong attention to details, highly organized, computer literate. You must also be skilled in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD, and have the ability to work well in a fast-paced professional manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Vice President of Communities, the Community Publisher is responsible for the size, activity and retention of clinicians in his or her communities, as well as bottom line responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, execute and adjust a strategy for acquiring, serving and retaining a community of clinicians through content and information services;
• Work closely with physician community leaders to:
- develop content curriculum and calendar, and evolve content and features;
- identify both topics and experts for acquisition editors to secure content;
- publish content on a schedule and monitor consumption patterns;
- identify community research agenda; and
- identify new business opportunities within communities.
• Work with other Community Publishers to identify synergies and opportunities for growth and expansion.
• Work collaboratively with the community manager, engineering group, production team to achieve community objectives.
• Work with Business Development and Sales to ensure sponsor expectations are met.

Skills and Experience:
• 7-10 years publishing experience with bottom-line or performance responsibility.
• Demonstrated ability to build and retain a community of on-line users.
• Track record of innovation and success.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Background experience in Medicine highly preferred.

Compensation: Salary up to 90K DOE + significant performance incentive package, full benefits and equity option position.

They are heavily involved in the screw machine, Swiss CNC screw machine, and CNC machining industries. Qualified individuals must have knowledge and experience with PPAPs, FMEAs, SPC, and Six Sigma techniques. Responsibilities for this position will include supervision of quality personnel, providing shop floor support, and gauging and inspection of first parts, as well as preparing all necessary documentation required for this ISO-9000 Certified facility. A strong knowledge of all quality instruments, ISO standards, and FDA procedures is a great plus! An ASQE Certified individual is preferred, but candidates who have some formal quality training will also be considered.
