· Deals with financial issues of normal complexity to support business processes.
· This position will develop an expanded understanding of business and accounting practices, systems and procedures; apply accounting knowledge; as well as participate on and lead teams.
· The incumbent will be exposed to a variety of accounting functions and will perform a broad range of analysis work.
· Generate reports and provide related commentary.
· Review and validate relevant data and data sources, analyze information and provide feedback.
· Works on challenging, low to medium risk issues and makes decisions and recommendations as appropriate.
· An accounting supervisor primarily through review of progress and results will direct work.
· Possible areas of responsibility are varied and of medium complexity including:
· Financial accounting, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory accounting, and consolidations
· Internal management accounting, including profit center reporting and budgeting and margin analysis
· Coordination of purchased services and transfer prices
· Development and maintenance of internal controls and procedures
· Interacts with multiple functional areas and levels of authority.
· Handle complex accounting issues such as inventory valuation, inter-company transactions, sales and cost of sales reporting, and resolving financial reporting problems.
· Demonstrate knowledge and ability to independently handle accounting issues.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or an equivalent degree with at least 18 college units in Accounting required
· Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale required
· At least 5 year of work experience in accounting is required...
