Global real estate/financial services consulting company, headquartered in Chicago seeks VP-Marcom to develop, manage and execute all aspects of firm’s integrated marketing and public relations strategy. Must be superb writer. As member of five-person corporate team, candidate will work directly with and report to Co-CEOs. Executive leadership firmly supports marketing and business development. Team based culture. High energy. Analytic thinkers. Light travel, mostly to industry conferences and symposia. 70 employees. Immediate hire!
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in journalism).
-5-8 years’ (minimum) marketing communications experience.
-Experience working in real estate or financial services field a plus.
-Experience as reporter/writer and in corporate setting.
-Exceptional writing capabilities, including demonstrated experience drafting corporate communications (e.g., press releases and website content) and substantive materials related to the firm and industry (e.g., speeches, presentations, and white papers).
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with exceptional ability to communicate effectively with senior management and external parties, including public relations firms and reporters.
-Excellent time management, organization, planning skills, and work ethic.
-Strong mastery of MS Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) as well as Adobe desktop publishing and graphics applications (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). The latter graphic packages are nice to have.
Responsibilities:
Supervise Associate marketing manager & outside PR agency.
Overall marketing strategy/plan-create and execute.
Branding.
Heavy Writing/Editing-speeches, collateral, white paper etc.
Public Relations.
Event Planning/Organization.
Graphic Design.
Website Management.
Vendor, associations, and other third party relationship-building and management.
Budget.
