Field Loan Originator/Mortgage Advisor
JOB BRIEF: Responsible for originating first mortgage loans of 7.2MM per year, minimum, in order to grow the KeyBank Mortgage business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Originate and process 1-4 family residential real estate mortgage loans.
Achieve mortgage origination loan volume.
Responsible for knowing all Federal Regulations and bank policies/procedures that apply to your department, including the Bank Secrecy Act and CIP.
Provide service to clients and prospective clients seeking residential mortgage loans.
Solicit residential first mortgage loans through contact with realtors, builders, developers and housing organizations.
Keeps informed of trends and developments in the real estate market and mortgage industry.
Call on potential clients to develop new business both in person and over the phone.
Represents the Bank in various community functions to further enhance its image and develop and promote additional business relationships.
Maintain high standards of client satisfaction and quality.
Ensures sales/originator systems and work flows are efficiently controlled.
Manages client referral and cross sell process ensuring all new customers are introduced to local Key Centers.
Performs / creates additional business development activities to increase sales and leads.
MARGINAL OR PERIPHERAL FUNCTIONS: Participate in external Realtor and Builder trade groups (example: Home Builders Associations & Area Board of Realtors)
Recommend system enhancements to facilitate the work process, and implement system changes as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum three (2) years of 1st mortgage production experience
Verified previous income in the mortgage sales industry
Minimum of 7.2 MM in personal production
A working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, TIL regulations, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, RESPA regulations, local and state real estate and finance laws
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree a plus
8-10 MM + in personal production
Excellent sales skills and communication skills
Excellent analytical skills Existing contacts and referrals in the real estate and mortgage industries required.
SOFTWARE SKILLS: Power Point, Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Mortgage based software
