Carney Educational Services is seeking teachers for our after school program in the Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley and Torrance areas. We are in the process of hiring RIGHT NOW for the fall 2007/2008 school year. We are an expanding educational and enrichment program looking for dynamic, responsible, caring teachers who have a passion for students to excel in life.
Qualifications:
• AA degree or 48 college credit hours are required
• Previous experience with children
• Enthusiastic instructor
• Responsible, dependable team player
• Transportation to and from school site
• Experience with elementary (ages 5 – 10) and middle school (ages 11 – 14) students
• Tested on math and english skills
Responsibilities:
• Supervise a class of 20 – 22 students
• Execute classroom management and structure throughout the program
• Assist with academics and homework
• Instruct an enrichment class such as martial arts, photography, scrapbooking, sports, science, drama, dance, art, music, etc.
• Must be accurate in recordkeeping
We are seeking teachers for permanent positions, working 5 days a week, 3 hours a day with availability a must between 1:30 pm – 6:00 pm.
$13.00 per hour, fingerprints, and TB test will be required...
