Senior Mechanical Engineer – Hydraulic Power Unit Design
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Design, quotation and commissioning of hydraulic power units, and, mechanical and conveyor drives for customer applications using fluid power, power transmission and conveying products, and as developed using proprietary quotation software, AutoCAD design software and industry accepted engineering practices.
• Product application, circuit design, troubleshooting, and, knowledge and practical experience in the area of layout and fabrication of fluid power units, and mechanical and conveying drives.
• Resolution of branch and customer inquiries involving product selection and application, competitive interchanges, product sourcing, and application assistance.
• Involvement in projects where component interchange, sourcing, product coding and costing assistance is required for fluid power, power transmission and conveying products.QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering (ME).
* 3-5 years minimum experience
• Background in the areas of fluid mechanics and drive design preferable; employer will supply specific training.
• Experience with AutoCAD design software. CFPS (Certified Fluid Power Specialist) certification or take exam within the next twelve months.
• Have a working knowledge of appropriate industry standards and codes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; familiar with Microsoft Office software suite and job related engineering/product selection software.
• Good interpersonal skills; dependable; detailed in project work. Ability to set priorities and organize project work.
• Service oriented and team player.
