Account Manager

Experience in Heavy Equipment Rentals & Sales!

Job Summary
• Manage all aspects of customer relationships, activities and transactions for an assigned territory consistent with the Mission statement of Red Mountain Machinery Co.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage and develop customer relationships. The Account Manager is responsible for targeting customer profiles consistent with RMMC objectives.

• Determine optimum opportunities for RMMC. Must have the ability to assist in and assess customer machine selection, job application, inventory options, market conditions.

• Visit jobsites and various work environments to determine proper application and make recommendations for improvement or removal of unit if necessary.


Desired Minimum Qualifications

• Must have the ability to interact and build relationships for the purpose of future rental and sales of equipment. Provide highest level of customer service enabling repeat business and long term relationship.

• It is imperative to have a very clear understanding of machine use, application and misapplication, damage, costs and consequences as they relate to earthmoving equipment or exhibit the ability to learn and adapt. Resolve problems equitably for both customer and RMMC.


Licensing and Certification:
Current & valid drivers’ license

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Basic Computer Skills – Microsoft Windows: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & Word. TrakQuip


Tools and Equipment Used- Company Provided:
• Computer
• Cellular Phone
• Pager
• Vehicle (or Employee provided and reimbursed)
• Company Fax machine
• Brochures & Literature
• Business Cards
• Credit Card
• Digital Camera


Physical Demands:
• Out of town travel by Air and Automobile.
• Must be able to work outside calling on customer’s jobsites and uneven terrain.
• Must be able to climb into and upon RMMC rental machines to record cab hour meters, machine inspection, etc.
• Must be able to, on occasion lift and haul parts and wear items when needed weighing up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:
• Red Mountain office and shop areas
• Customers Office, Shop and jobsites
• Golf Courses
• Industry Event Locations
• Various out of town locations & training sites

Performance Metrics:

• Machines Sales – minimum 1 per year
• Rental Sales – Minimum $1.2 million year
• Maintainer Sales
o Minimum 1 sale per year
o Minimum 24 quotes per year
• Sales Force.com use, records must be maintained and current
o Call Reports – Daily activities
o Closed Rental Lost and Won opportunities
o Maintainer quotes and sales
o Used Machine quote and sales
• Rental machines
o Rental Request – accurate information
o Rental Off Rent - accurate information
• Expense Accounts – Accurate and turned in on 1st of each month
