Cost Accountant - Pryor, OK

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Process all cost accounting processes within the plant and distribution center.
- Maintain and enhance existing controls for plant assets and activities.
- Complete all period end package materials and ingredients account reconciliations.
- Coordinate all plant package material and ingredient physical inventories.
- Ensure inventory processes are conducted according to Quaker Policies and Procedures and are processed through the accounting systems accurately and timely.
- Maintain proper transaction documentation and perform Sarbanes Oxley audit tests.
- Support the completion of the Accounting self assessment audits and audit tests.
- Assist in the development of the Annual Operating plan and Period Business Reviews (PBU’s) as requested.
- Assist in the identification, analysis, and tracking of plant cost reduction projects.
- Assist in the development of improved plant and DC information systems to drive value and performance through sound decision-making.
- Support TPM activities to drive improvement within plant processes.
Requirments:
•0 to 2 years experience of Accounting or related experience
•Bachelors degree in Accounting
•Familiarity and experience with accounting transaction systems (MMS/MRP & Inventory systems, standard costs systems, etc)
•Strong results orientation and problem solving capabilities
•Proficient Excel capabilities, access skills preferred
•Working knowledge of Hyperion-Essbase a plus
•Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
•Ability to work independently & to operate effectively as a part of a large team-based environment
•Ability to adapt quickly & maintain flexibility on project oriented tasks
•Strong analytical skills and process improvement orientation;
•Ability to view big picture as well as handle specific detailed transactions;
•Strong desire to produce results
