Fixed Asset Accountant - Pryor, OK

Job Description:

The individual selected for this position will perform transactional activity to prepare fixed asset consolidated reporting and provide guidance on proper Fixed Asset accounting theory for the Pryor Gatorade Facility.

* Will be responsible to set up, obtain proper approvals, maintain, and monitor/track Capital Asset expenditures and projects, ensuring compliance with established capitalization and SOX requirements.
* Will track project spending each accounting period and assure reconciliation of projects to the General Ledger and perform reconciliation of actual depreciation expense to Plan. Process asset additions, deletions, transfers and equipment status change transactions for the Pryor Gatorade Facility according to company Policy and Procedure.
* Review and monitor plant accounting activity to ensure assets are capitalized, priced out and tagged in a timely manner.
* Review and monitor progress of capital projects, checking for proper account structure, adherence to capitalization policy, authority to approve levels, and ensure asset write-offs are properly recorded.
* Perform project close-out processes.
* Prepare/analyze/present plant capital and expense spend analysis to leadership.
• Ensure proper accounting for all capital and fixed asset transactions; including pricing, transfers, write-offs and additions.
• Ensure proper accounting between Expense and Capital and that minimum capitalization limits are adhered to by corporate policy.
• Reconcile activity to analyze changes in balances and ensure G/L balances are properly supported.
• Prepare annual and as requested depreciation forecasts.
• Prepare capital spending tracking reports and review actual and forecasted spending by project with Engineering Manager each period.
• Complete quarterly Sox compliance tests and ensure proper documentation exists to support a pass rating.
• Complete annual self assessment audit templates for fixed assets.
• Coordinate annual fixed assets inventory and ensure physical inventory is completed per corporate policy and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to PepsiCo and QTG Financial Policies and Control procedures.
• Actively participate in Annual Operating Plan development process, audits, cross training, and projects as needed.

Requirements:
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance with 0-3 years related experience (particually with Fixed Assets). Must have manufacturing accounting experience.

- Process all cost accounting processes within the plant and distribution center.
- Maintain and enhance existing controls for plant assets and activities.

Throughout the year we perform food tasting demonstrations of our all natural Greek products at various Whole Foods Markets, Kings Supermarkets, Balducci’s Food Lover’s Market and other fine stores in the New Jersey, New York, and the Philadelphia Metro area. Our products are all natural, organic and artisan foods from Greece. Examples include our line of honeys from various areas of Greece, Greek olive oil from the island of Crete and Greek cookies as well as other products.

We are looking for pleasant, outgoing, dependable people to train and call upon when demos are scheduled. There is no cooking involved.

Qualifications:

1. Previous demo or sales experience preferred, especially in foods. We will provide training if needed.

2. Access to a reliable car required for this position. (Not required for demos in New York City.)

3. Must be friendly, polite, and possess good manners as you represent our company while you demo our products. You need to learn the products and be able to respond to customer inquiries and concerns.

4. Must be dependable as demos are scheduled weeks in advance and you are required to be on time.

5. Must be available for work on evenings and weekends. Demos are when the stores have the highest volume of customers. Demos usually last 3-4 hours.
