Job Description:
This member of the Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) multidisciplinary team is responsible for conducting assessing physical health needs; making appropriate referrals to community physicians; providing management and administration of medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist; providing of a range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services; sharing shift-management responsibility with other staff; and assisting the psychiatrist with psychiatric assessments. Must have a clear understanding of the characteristics and problems of adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and be knowledgeable about the FACT model. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. Displays excellent telephone and customer service skills.
Education: Licensed as a RN or LPN according to the laws of the state. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience with the severe and persistent mental illness population and minimum of one year supervisory experience required.
