Job Description:
Position Summary and Essential Functions:
Manages, designs and implements Opportunity Finance Network’s new loan portfolio management and servicing system infrastructure. Manages Opportunity Finance Network’s portfolio management and servicing activities, including: portfolio management for CDFI lending, residential real estate lending, and purchases of residential second mortgages; default management; and loan and investment servicing. Serves on Management Team.
Responsibilities:
1. Develops and manages Opportunity Finance Network’s growing loan portfolio management strategy, including development of monitoring and servicing processes for new lending products.
2. Manages all aspects of portfolio administration activities by overseeing and directly participating in the monitoring, servicing, and default management of Opportunity Finance Network’s community development loans, including its CDFI loan and equity investment portfolio, its income-producing real estate portfolio, and its purchases of residential second mortgages.
3. Participates in strategic and organizational planning for Opportunity Finance Network as part of the Management Team.
4. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years work experience, MBA or Graduate Degree preferred
2. 8+ years professional experience in commercial loan servicing or related field required
3. 4+ years loan administration experience required
4. 5+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity required
5. Experience in loan collection and default management required
6. Strong writing, financial and analytical experience required
7. Experience in quantitative research is highly beneficial
8. Experience in underwriting preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Physical Requirements:
1. Proficient with MS Office Products/Internet
2. Proficient with various loan administration software packages
3. Demonstrated management ability required
4. Demonstrated leadership and motivational ability required
5. Demonstrated understanding of the complexities and challenges of community development finance required
6. Strong financial, market, and quantitative analysis skills required
7. Ability to manage a division independently, with strategic supervision required
8. Ability to set priorities and delegate tasks effectively required
9. Superior analytical and organizational skills required
10. Superior written and verbal communication skills required
11. Superior interpersonal skills, ability to manage and work in teams, and constructively with diverse constituents is required
12. Understanding of and commitment to community development required
13. Minimal travel required (5% of time)
14. No extraordinary physical requirements
