Job Description:
Position Summary and Essential Functions:
Primary responsibilities include recruitment, retention and account management for mortgage originators and originators of other financial services products offered by the Opportunity Finance Network.. The Senior Associate will support the Senior Vice President, Financial Services in her efforts to build new origination systems and networks and deliver resources and technical assistance to originators.
Responsibilities:
1. Recruit, retain and manage a network of 30 to 60 mortgage originators as well as originators of other real estate based financing products.
2. Coordinate and deliver training for originators.
3. Assist originators with securing appropriate licenses.
4. Coordinate the delivery of loan origination system technology to originators.
5. Coordinate delivery to and implementation by originators of marketing and lead generation materials.
6. Serve as primary customer service liaison for originators.
7. Manage all aspects of communication with originators.
8. Track licensing and other certification requirements of all originators using Excel and Access databases.
9. Provide technical assistance to originators as requested.
10. Solve problems in an expedient and efficient manner to the satisfaction of the originators
11. Collect and manage a database of resources and information that advance the business interest of originators
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s Degree or 9 years work experience required; MBA or graduate degree a plus
2. 3-5 years professional experience in financial services account management required; mortgage experience preferred;
3. Significant experience in account management and customer service required
4. Experience in an analytical capacity required
5. Experience working with both nonprofits and for-profits is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Physical Requirements:
1. Proficient with MS Office Products/Internet, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access
2. Ability to work independently or in team environment as required
3. Ability to manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision in effective and efficient manner
4. Ability to set priorities and delegate tasks effectively required
5. Superior organizational skills required with ability to pay close attention to detail
6. Superior customer service/account management skills required
7. Superior written and verbal communication skills required
8. Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work well with diverse constituents is required
9. Moderate travel required (20% of time)
10. Knowledge of and commitment to community development preferred
11. No extraordinary physical requirements beyond ability to travel.
