Job Description:
The employee in this position is responsible for providing direct treatment services in the form of group, family, and psychoeducational counseling to clients in the Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP). Clinical skills and abilities in the areas of assessment, treatment planning, referral and discharge planning. Effective and efficient documentation skills. Must have working knowledge of chemical dependency, which includes AA/NA 12-step philosophy and rehabilitation techniques. Be familiar with the physical and emotional characteristics associated with the disease concept along with a high level of knowledge about recovery. MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from a licensed and approved college or university holding a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field. Must have two years experience in the substance abuse field. If recovering, must have at least one year sobriety.
