National Geographic Television’s International Home Entertainment division has an immediate opening for a Marketing Manager. Responsibilities include: (1) Develop and initiate sales and marketing strategies with international licensing partners in order to increase revenues; (2) Assist in contract analysis and negotiations with partners and outside vendors; (3) Review “open” markets; solicit and analyze proposals from key companies for new media; (4) Analyze competitive and industry trends for home entertainment products and new media; (5) Communicate with internal and external parties to maximize cross-promotional opportunities with all divisions.
The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or international business, with six (6) years of consumer products experience in retail and direct marketing. Experience managing client or partner relationships is essential. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, plus strong negotiation and analytical skills are required. Must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrate proficiency in the use of MS Office and Lotus Notes. This position also requires international travel.
