Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
- Support facility operational improvements and provide technical support to various teams.
- Ensure successful design & implementation of various projects through good planning and coordination of available resources.
- Ensure on-time project deliverables within budget and allowable windows of opportunity.
- Lead regularly scheduled long term capital planning meetings and manage LTP effectively at all levels.
- Have active familiarity with Autocad & Microsoft software programs.
- Be willing to travel, work off-shifts, and rotate on call status as necessary.
- Conducts or assists with employee/contractor safety programs designed to ensure safe contractor performance
This position reports to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager and is responsible for developing comprehensive project scope, design, and documentation. Responsible for developing scope and objectives for all plant capital projects, drawing packages, schedules and conducts capital review meetings as needed, to assure project continuity and to establish capital priority needs of the plant. This position will be responsible for engineering and design, contractor selection/administration, selection and ordering of equipment and materials, cost estimation, installation supervision, and startup supervision.
Requires BS Degree in Engineering with two plus years related experience preferred. Prior supervisory and food plant experience preferred. Prefer candidate having passed EIT and/or PE. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required.
